Why Choose Me:
Built on Duda, Drupal, Wix Studio, Magento — picked based on what fits your business, not what's trending on Twitter. You'll work with me directly from the first call through launch. No account manager, no offshore handoff, no "let me check with the designer." When something needs to change on Thursday, it changes on Thursday. Sites are built to load fast, convert visitors, and survive a Google update without a rebuild
Frequently Asked Questions
-
What web design and development services do you offer in Fort Worth?
Custom websites, built from strategy up, for businesses whose site has to earn a serious buyer's trust.
That covers five kinds of builds. Service-business websites for contractors, trades, and professional firms, from a focused owner-operator site to a multi-location authority site with dozens of service and city pages. Municipal and civic websites for cities, agencies, and the facilities they run, built to public-sector accessibility standards. E-commerce stores on Shopify for companies selling products alongside services. Enterprise platforms for multi-brand or multi-division companies that need a single system to hold several businesses together. And custom web applications — field operations tools, client portals, internal systems — when an off-the-shelf product won't do the job.
Every build includes what most agencies quote separately: strategy and site architecture, copywriting, on-page SEO and schema markup, accessibility, performance, analytics setup, and post-launch support. After launch, monthly maintenance and local SEO plans keep the site working; annual cloud hosting is available separately.
The platforms are Duda, Wix Studio, Shopify, and Magento. No WordPress, no templates, and the person who plans the site is the person who builds it.
-
How long does it take to build a website in Fort Worth?
Four to sixteen weeks from kickoff. A focused site for an owner-operator runs 4–6 weeks. An authority site with 11–25 pages runs 6–8. A multi-location site with 26–75 pages, or a Shopify store, runs 8–10. An enterprise platform with 75 or more pages runs 12–16.
The clock starts the day the project kicks off, not the day you sign. Most projects are booked two months or more out, so from first call to launch, plan on three to six months.
The biggest variable is on your side, not mine. Content, photos, and approvals that come back in a day keep a project on schedule; a design review that sits for a week adds a week to launch. The other variable is scope creep — every page added after the plan is approved is time added to the timeline, which is why the plan gets approved before anything is built.
If you're working against a hard date, say so on the first call. Some deadlines can be met with a rush fee; some can't, and it's better to know which before you pay anything.
-
Do you provide SEO services along with web design?
Yes, in two layers.
The first layer is built into every site and costs nothing extra. Clean architecture, one topic per page, service and location pages written for the searches your buyers run, fast load times, accessibility, schema markup, and analytics setup. That's the foundation, and most of what gets sold as "SEO" later is fixing sites that skipped it.
The second layer is ongoing, and it's optional. Monthly local SEO plans start at $1,000 and cover the work that keeps a site moving after launch: Google Business Profile optimization, citation building, backlinks, a steady cadence of content written for your trades and your service area, and reporting so you can see what changed. Larger plans add more keywords, more content, and structuring for AI answer engines.
What isn't included, at any price, is a ranking guarantee. I control the execution; Google controls the results. Anyone who promises page one is guessing or planning shortcuts that get you penalized.

Can Black Anchor Design build e-commerce websites?
Yes. Shopify stores are a dedicated package — a fully custom build with up to 25 flexible pages, delivered in 8–10 weeks, with 60 days of post-launch support, priced at $12,500–$20,000. I'm a Certified Shopify Partner, and for large product catalogs with complex requirements, I also build on Magento.
Where these projects fit best is a business that sells products alongside services: a supplier that also installs, a manufacturer with a dealer network and a direct line, a trades company with a parts or equipment side. Those stores need what a template shop doesn't provide — a brand that aligns with the rest of the company, product pages written for buyers who know what they're looking for, and a checkout that doesn't fight the customer.
Every store ships with the same foundation as a service site: strategy first, on-page SEO and schema, accessibility, analytics, and documentation. After launch, you get the Shopify login and full ownership; nothing about the store depends on me.
What I don't build is a general retail store with a thousand SKUs and a marketing calendar built around Instagram. That's a different business, and there are people who do it better.

What technologies do you use for web development in Fort Worth?
Four platforms, chosen by what the site has to do: Duda for most service and municipal sites, Wix Studio when the design needs more custom control, Shopify for e-commerce, and Magento for large product catalogs with complex requirements. For custom applications — field tools, client portals, internal systems — I build on no-code and low-code platforms that ship faster and cost less to maintain than a ground-up codebase.
Around the platform, every site gets the same stack: AWS cloud hosting, JSON-LD schema markup, Google Analytics and Tag Manager, an accessibility layer built to WCAG standards, and performance tuning so the site loads fast on a phone in a truck cab. Design and prototyping happen in the Adobe suite and Figma; files and documentation are stored in Dropbox, where you have access.
What I don't use is WordPress. It's the platform most of my clients arrive from with a site that's slow, out of date, or hacked, because it depends on someone maintaining plugins nobody's watching. The platforms above handle hosting, security, and updates as part of the service.
None of this is a technology showcase. The point of the stack is that the site you launch is the site you still have in three years, and that you can hand it to another developer tomorrow without them having to learn anything exotic.

How Has Website Design Evolved for Businesses in 2026?
Three shifts matter, and they all favor businesses that do the fundamentals well.
The first click is disappearing. More buyers now ask an AI assistant "who does commercial roofing in Fort Worth" than type it into Google, and the assistant answers in a paragraph rather than a list of links. Sites that get named in those answers are the ones with clear, factual pages about specific services, published prices, real addresses, and structured data that tells the machine what the business is. Vague brand copy is invisible to an answer engine. Specificity is the new ranking factor.
Accessibility became a legal deadline. Public entities face federal web-accessibility rules with compliance dates in 2026 and 2027, and the contractors and vendors who serve them are being asked to meet the same standard. Accessibility used to be a nice-to-have on a checklist; it's now a procurement requirement and a lawsuit risk. Sites built to WCAG from the start cost far less than sites retrofitted after a demand letter.
Speed and trust replaced flash. The animated, scroll-heavy site of five years ago tests badly on a phone in a truck cab, and buyers have stopped rewarding it. What converts now is a fast page that answers the buyer's question on the first screen, shows proof — projects, people, numbers — and makes the next step obvious. Design got quieter because the buyer got busier.
What hasn't changed is the reason the site exists. It's still there to make a stranger trust you enough to call. The technology around that goal keeps moving; the goal doesn't.
Disclaimer:
Black Anchor Design does not guarantee rankings, placements, or revenue outcomes. No firm with integrity does. What we do guarantee is mission completion — every deliverable, on schedule, within budget, executed to the highest standard. Firms that promise the moon leave clients stranded. We don't make promises we can't keep — we make commitments we do keep. That's the Black Anchor standard.
