Black Anchor Design is my independent web strategy consultancy in West Fort Worth. I partner with businesses of all sizes to research their industry, identify problems, and develop strategies to close gaps between their brand and data. I also build custom SEO-driven websites. You will work directly with me, your brand strategist and web designer, from our first conversation to launch.

The Story Behind Black Anchor Design

Black Anchor Design began in 2009 as a moniker for freelance work. At the time, I was also building a career in design and marketing—first at a small agency, then through work with larger advertising firms and national brands including Disney, KFC, Southwest Airlines, Capcom, Nokia, and Coca-Cola.

That experience taught me how strong creative work gets made. It also showed me where the process often breaks down: businesses are handed a website, a campaign, or a new brand without enough clarity about the problem it is supposed to solve.

As my freelance work grew, Black Anchor expanded beyond photography into the web, brand, and marketing work I was already doing professionally. For six years, I built it in the hours outside a full-time job—at night, on weekends, and while raising two daughters. In 2015, I made Black Anchor Design my full-time focus.

Today, Black Anchor Design is an independent web strategy consultancy with the Anti-Agency Experience. I work with established businesses whose work depends on expertise, precision, and trust—especially in critical infrastructure, commercial trades, healthcare, premium development, and aerospace and defense.

My role begins before design. I assess the business, the audience, the current website, the messaging, and the technology behind it. From there, I define what the website needs to accomplish, what it needs to say, how it should work, and how it should be found.

Clients work directly with me from strategy through launch. I do not offer white-label production, and I do not pass projects through layers of account management. I take on one or two projects each month so there is room for research, clear decisions, and careful execution.

Black Anchor is not built to be the biggest agency in the room. It's built for precision, not size—a scalpel, not a hammer. I give established businesses clear direction and websites that reflect the expertise and reputation they’ve earned.

Straight talk, both ways. I don't take every project. Before we start, I make sure we're a good fit, because the best work comes from mutual respect. I'll tell you the truth about your project, your market, and your timeline, even when it's not what you want to hear. I expect the same honesty back.

You talk to me and I do the work. Every call, every revision, and every detail is handled personally.

A written timeline before you pay. You'll see every step, milestone, and your launch date before a dollar changes hands. If anything shifts, you'll hear it from me first, not find out when a deadline slips.

Leave anytime, with everything. Your domain, logins, and files are yours from day one. You also get a handoff file with your passwords, domain settings, hosting details, and build notes, so nothing is ever locked behind me. I keep the rights to my reusable design patterns and code. You keep everything that makes the site yours: your content, your brand, and your accounts. Payments are non-refundable once made.

Black Anchor Design is located at 2833 Crockett St., Ste. 502, in Fort Worth's 7th Street Cultural District. Since 2015, I've worked remotely, and most projects run entirely over Zoom and email. Neither of us loses a morning to traffic.
