How Black Anchor Design Started.

I'm Bobby Robinson, principal of Black Anchor Design in Fort Worth. For 31 years I've built web strategy for firms that get vetted before they get hired — critical infrastructure, defense contracting, commercial trades, healthcare, and premium development.


That run started in small marketing agencies and ended up inside Fortune 500 ad firms, on work for Disney Studio, KFC, Southwest Airlines, Capcom VGC, Nokia, and Coca-Cola SW.


Black Anchor Design started in 2009 as a side hustle. I was single, raising two daughters full-time, working in corporate marketing. The weekend hustle paid for everything the day job didn't. That was my life for six years straight. By 2015 the side hustle had outgrown the day job, so I went all in and never looked back.


Black Anchor Design, LLC is a veteran-owned web strategy consultancy registered in Texas. Not an agency, not a freelancer. Clients hire me for the thinking behind the work, not just the work. Branding, strategy, web design, and local SEO.


Most of my clients have been in business at least three years. They're all different, and they all arrive with the same problems: they've outgrown a template site, they can't be found online, the marketing isn't pulling its weight, and they want clarity instead of a stack of deliverables.


I'm schedule-driven, so the project calendar stays tight and selective. One or two projects a month, booked ahead. Depth needs space, and real progress needs focus.

Headquarters

My office is in Fort Worth's 7th Street Cultural District at 2833 Crockett St., Ste. 502, open by appointment only. I've worked remotely since 2020, so most projects run entirely over Zoom and email without either of us losing a morning to traffic.

Brutally honest collaboration: I filter clients through a strict qualification process to protect the work and the relationship. Great design requires an environment of respect — in both directions. I'll tell you the truth about your project, your market, and your timeline. I expect the same back.

Senior strategy, kickoff to launch: You talk to me. I do the work. No account managers translating between you and the build. Every call, every revision, every decision — mine.

Written timeline before you pay: You'll see the full build sequence, milestones, and launch date before a dollar changes hands. If something shifts, you'll hear it from me first.

Seamless exit whenever you choose: The site is yours from day one — domain, logins, files. You also get a dead man's file with your credentials, DNS, hosting, and build notes, so nothing is ever locked behind me. I keep the rights to my design patterns and code; you keep everything that makes the site yours. Payments are non-refundable once made.
