Overview

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) took effect May 25, 2018. It is a European Union regulation governing the collection, storage, and use of personal data for individuals within the EU. While Black Anchor Design is a Texas-based agency, we serve clients and site visitors broadly — and we take data privacy seriously regardless of where you're located.

We have aligned our data collection practices and Privacy Policy with GDPR standards and continue to improve our systems as expectations evolve.

What GDPR Requires of Website Owners

If your website collects data from EU visitors, you are required to:

Notify visitors when their information is being collected and stored

Clearly explain how that data is used

Provide an option to delete personal information upon request

Obtain consent before deploying cookies that track or gather personal data

These are not suggestions. Non-compliance carries significant financial penalties under EU law.

Black Anchor Design does not sell personal data. Information collected through our website or client intake process is used solely to deliver our services and communicate with clients. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us directly.
