ECS International + SineTamer. Building a Unified Brand System for Global Power Protection
Project Overview
Energy Control Systems (ECS) provides surge protection, power-quality products, and infrastructure solutions for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities. The project required two connected visual systems: a corporate identity for ECS International and a product-focused identity for SineTamer.
Although the names serve different markets, the underlying equipment and engineering are the same. SineTamer was licensed specifically for international use approximately 25 years ago due to contract negotiation requirements. The creative strategy needed to clarify that relationship while giving each brand a distinctive and credible market presence.
The Challenge
ECS and SineTamer operate in a highly technical industry, but their value cannot be communicated through specifications alone. Facility managers, engineers, contractors, and distributors need to understand how the products help reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and create more predictable performance.
The existing visual materials lacked a consistent system connecting the corporate brand, product families, technical literature, and sales applications. The challenge was to modernize the presentation without losing the recognition already established through the ECS energy-wave symbol and SineTamer’s blue oval and red lightning bolt.
Creative Direction
For ECS, I developed a refined industrial system built around deep power navy, ECS orange, brushed steel, carbon black, and white. The three-wave symbol became a flexible graphic device representing energy, movement, and continuity. Strong condensed typography, structured layouts, and infrastructure photography give the brand an authoritative engineering presence.
The SineTamer direction preserves its recognizable blue, yellow, red, and black identity while introducing a more disciplined technical grid, stronger typography, and cleaner product presentation. The visual system positions SineTamer as a specialized power-protection product line backed by ECS's experience and capabilities.
The two systems are intentionally related without becoming interchangeable. ECS leads with corporate expertise, infrastructure, and service. SineTamer leads with engineered product protection and international recognition.
Brand Applications
The identity systems were extended across:
- Corporate and product brand guidelines
- Product-family photography
- Technical packaging and equipment labels
- Sales and capabilities brochures
- Service-vehicle graphics
- Technician apparel
- Digital and website applications
The accompanying brochures organize complex information into a more accessible story: modern facilities generate constant electrical disturbances, and properly engineered protection helps prevent those disturbances from becoming routine failures.
The Result
The completed direction gives ECS and SineTamer a cohesive, scalable visual foundation. Both brands now communicate technical authority, reliability, and real-world experience while remaining distinct enough to support their individual markets. The system is designed to work consistently across equipment, printed collateral, distributor materials, digital campaigns, and future website development.
