- We'd love to start on time. Life happens, and we get that — so we extend a 10-minute grace period as a courtesy. If we're unable to connect within that window, we'll reschedule for a time that works better.
- Please keep your webcam on. Some of our best work happens when there's a genuine face-to-face connection, even through a screen. All sessions are recorded for quality and accountability — by joining, you consent to being recorded.
- Find your best spot. A quiet, private space with a solid internet connection goes a long way toward a great session. We ask that session materials not be recorded or shared outside of our time together.
- We're here to do great work — together.
We bring our best, and we ask the same of you. To keep things productive and positive for everyone, sessions involving disrespectful behavior may need to be ended early.

I offer 1:1 coaching via Zoom. Sessions cover web design, branding, digital marketing, and mentorship, tailored to your goals. You'll leave each one with clear next steps to improve your visibility, attract qualified leads, and turn visitors into customers. In-person sessions within DFW or beyond are available for an additional fee.

Zoom isn't for everyone. I offer a self-scheduled 15-minute phone consultation to start. We'll clarify your goals and confirm whether my expertise is the right fit for your business challenges. Is the consultation free?
Yes. The 30-minute Zoom and 15-minute phone consultation are both free. I use that time to understand your business and the problem you're trying to solve, and to decide whether I'm the right fit. If I am, I'll lay out next steps. If I'm not, I'll tell you that too.
In-person meetings and on-site travel are the paid exception.

What happens during the consultation?
During the consultation, I ask about your business, your market, and what you're trying to accomplish. I'll look at your current site with you and ask what it's not doing. I diagnose before I prescribe, so come ready to talk about the business, not the website. The website is just the fix.

Do I need to prepare anything before the consultation?
Not much. Know what you want the site to do for the business, be ready to name what's frustrating you about the current one, and have any competitors you admire (or hate) in mind. If you have a budget range or a deadline, bring it. I'd rather hear a rough number in the first ten minutes than a real one after the estimate.

How long does a consultation last?
Zoom consultations run for 30 minutes. Phone consultations run for 15 minutes. If we're clearly a fit and need more time, we'll schedule a second call rather than run over. Your time is booked too.

Do you work with clients outside of Fort Worth?
Yes. Most of my clients are in DFW and across Texas, because that's where I know the market, the contractors, and the city halls. But I've run the business remotely since 2020, so everything from the first call to launch happens over Zoom. If you're outside Texas and want me on-site, I'll come. Travel is billed separately.

How do I book a consultation?
Pick a consultation type above, Zoom or phone, and choose an open time. You can book anywhere from 1 to 21 days out. You'll get a Google Calendar invite with the details as soon as it's booked.

Will I receive a proposal after the consultation?
If we're a fit, yes. After the call, I'll put together a written estimate covering scope, timeline, and cost. It's specific to your project, not a menu with your name typed at the top. If you approve it, you'll receive the intake form and the client agreement, and the project will be on the calendar once the deposit is received. If we're not a fit, I'll tell you on the call rather than make you wait for an email that says no.

What if I'm not the right fit?
We'll tell you straight. Black Anchor is selective by design — we'd rather have an honest conversation upfront than take on a project that isn't set up for success. If we're not the right fit, we'll let you know during the consultation and point you in the right direction. No hard feelings, no wasted time.

Can I reschedule or cancel my consultation?
Yes. Use the reschedule link in your calendar invite, or email hello@blackanchordesign.com at least 24 hours before the call. If you miss the call without notice, you're welcome to rebook, but I'll ask that you confirm the day before.
