Why Choose Me:
Most branding work looks like every other branding work. That's the problem. A construction company in Haslet shouldn't share a visual language with a SaaS startup in Austin, and yet here we are. I build identities that fit the actual business — the trucks, the trade shows, the proposal PDFs, the field crew shirts. Every mark gets pressure-tested against where it has to live before it ever reaches you. One principal, one set of eyes, one standard. If it can't survive a job site, it doesn't ship.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
What branding services does Black Anchor Design offer in Fort Worth?
Three things, usually in this order: brand strategy, brand identity, and the materials that carry the brand into the world.
Brand strategy is the thinking. A competitive audit of who you're up against in DFW, a clear position on who you serve and why they should pick you over the contractor down the road, and the core attributes your business should be known for. This is where every branding project starts, because a logo without a position is just a picture.
Brand identity is the look. Logo and mark: an identity system that holds together across everything from a business card to a truck door, with color and type standards and a written guide so your team and your vendors use it the same way every time.
Brand materials are the pieces that do the work. Business cards, proposals and capability statements, signage, vehicle graphics, trade show displays, and any print your business runs on — designed in-house and produced through vetted DFW commercial printers.
All of it is done personally by a brand strategist with 31 years in the craft. Most clients pair branding with a website so the brand and the site launch as one company; some come for the brand alone and build the site later.

How do I get started with branding services in Fort Worth?
Book the free 30-minute Zoom call through the website. That's the whole first step.
On the call, I'll ask about your business, what you're trying to fix, and what you've got now — a logo you've outgrown, a name change, a company that's grown past how it looks. You'll get a plain answer on whether branding alone solves it or whether the website needs to be part of the plan, and a real number for the work.
If it's a fit, you'll get a proposal with scope, timeline, and milestone schedule. A holding deposit reserves your start date if you're booking ahead; otherwise the Phase 1 payment kicks things off. The project starts with strategy, so the first thing you'll see isn't a logo — it's a written position for the business that you approve before any design begins.
If it's not a fit, I'll tell you on the call and, where I can, point you to someone who is.
-
How long does it take to complete a branding project?
Four to eight weeks, depending on how much of the brand needs to be built. A strategy-and-identity project — position, logo, identity system, standards guide — usually runs four to six weeks. Add the full set of materials, from proposals to vehicle graphics to trade show pieces, and plan on six to eight.
Strategy comes first and takes the longest per page, because it's the part everything else depends on. Once the position is approved, design moves quickly. The variable, as with every project, is turnaround on your side: a logo review that sits for a week adds a week to launch.
If the brand is being built alongside a website, the two are treated as a single project, and the branding phase happens before design starts. The website timeline for your package absorbs the branding work, so ask on the first call for the combined schedule rather than adding the two together.

Why is branding important for my business in Fort Worth?
Because in this market, your buyer has already seen five companies that do exactly what you do, and most of them look the same. A brand is how they tell you apart before they've talked to anyone.
For a construction or trades company, that plays out in specific ways. A general contractor bidding municipal work needs to look like a company the city can trust with public money — and the proposal, the truck, and the website all have to say the same thing. A roofer chasing storm work is competing against out-of-state crews with a magnetic sign; a real brand is the fastest proof you were here before the hail and will be here after. A firm that's grown from three trucks to thirty usually still looks like three trucks, and that costs them the larger jobs they're now qualified for.
Fort Worth also rewards being from here. The Stockyards, the Cultural District, the west side — this city has a look and a memory, and businesses that reflect it read as established. A brand built with that in mind doesn't have to shout "local"; it just doesn't look like it came from a template.
None of this is decoration. A brand is the reason a buyer picks up the phone, the reason they don't haggle, and the reason a $10 million company stops getting quoted like a $1 million one.

Can Black Anchor Design help with rebranding?
Yes, and it's most of the branding work I do.
Very few businesses that come to me are starting from nothing; they're companies that have outgrown their look, changed hands, merged, added a division, or realized the logo their nephew made in 2011 is now on the side of thirty trucks.
A rebrand starts with what's worth keeping. Twenty years of name recognition in Tarrant County is an asset, and a rebrand that throws it away in favor of looking modern is a mistake I'll talk you out of. Sometimes the answer is a full new identity. Often it's a sharper position, a cleaned-up mark that keeps the equity, and a system that finally makes the trucks, the website, and the proposals look like one company.
The other half of a rebrand is the rollout. Signage, vehicles, uniforms, stationery, the website, Google Business Profile, directory listings — all of it has to switch over without confusing customers or breaking your search presence. That gets planned as part of the project, not discovered after launch.
