I have been playing around with the idea of starting a podcast for a minute. I didn't want to break the bank, so I went to this essential equipment to test it out. I did my research, and I thought "WHY" the hell not. I bought some gear, and I'm ready to start recording.

Step 1.

What’s your podcast? Must describe it in one sentence.

Who is your audience for your podcast?

Where is your podcasting taking them? (Mission – Where is the promised land?)

Why should they listen to your show?

How are you unique in your space?

2.
3.
4.
5.

10.

Write down what will make your podcast unique and different here:

How many episodes should I publish a week?

How long should each episode be?

How do I plan each episode?

What is your publishing strategy?

Episode 1: Introduce yourself and the show to new listeners. Make sure to give people an idea of why they should subscribe, and what they must look forward to every episode.

A. Concept
B. Guest (optional)
C. Timestamp them
D. and Notes

Commit! Remember, the result takes time. Committing to a goal will increase you're following. I challenge you to make a video or written post on social media where all your friends can see you committing yourself to the following.

1. I’m going to launch my podcast by (name/date)

2. I’m going to stick with it for at least one year.

3. I’m going to enjoy the process – even the hard parts.

Don't record before you do these five things.

1. Your podcast titles

2. Your host/talent name

3. Your podcast’s subtitle

4. Your podcast’s summary/description

5. Your podcast’s artwork (1400X1400 pixel min., 3000x3000 pixels maximum; RGB color space)

I hope you found this helpful -- tune it for step 2.
