The Black Anchor Design Story

For 31 years, I've worked in design—from small marketing agencies to Fortune 500 ad firms. The client list along the way included Disney Studio, KFC, Capcom, Nokia, and Coca-Cola.

Black Anchor Design started in 2009 as a side hustle. I found myself single and raising two daughters full-time while working a full-time corporate marketing job. The weekends hustle paid for everything the day job didn't. That was my life for six years stratight and by 2015, the side hustle had outgrown the day job, and I went all in and never looked back.

Black Anchor Design, LLC is veteran owned and a registered web strategy consultancy based in Texas. It's not an agency, nor a freelancer. My clients hire me for strategic thinking behind the work, not just the work itself or what I can build. I provide Branding, Strategy, Web Design, and Local SEO services.

Most of my clients have been in business at least three years or more. They all are unique but have similar pain points. They want clarity, not a stack of deliverables. They have outgrown templates websites, can't get found online, no strategy for growth or their marketing isn't pulling its weight.

I'm schedule-driven, so I still keep a tight and selective project calendar. I don't work with everyone. I only take one or two projects a month, booked ahead. Depth needs space, and meaningful progress requires intentional focus.

When a project needs extra hands, I bring in senior independent pros I've worked with for years, each one handling a specific task to keep things on schedule and on budget. I direct the work. No account managers, no junior staff, no white-label handoffs, no anonymous overseas teams.

Senior strategy, kickoff to launch: You talk to me. I do the work. No account managers translating between you and the build. Every call, every revision, every decision — mine.

Written timeline before you pay: You'll see the full build sequence, milestones, and launch date before a dollar changes hands. If something shifts, you'll hear it from me first.

Clean exit, anytime: The site is yours. Full credentials, full ownership, full documentation. Black Anchor Design retains IP rights to the underlying design system and code we build to deliver it — you own the site; we own the craft behind it. I've never held a client hostage. I never will.
