I'm Bobby Robinson
Award-winning designer and Strategist.
Founder and sole principal of Black Anchor Design.
I'm a husband, a father, a dog owner, and a Christian. I'm an avid hunter, usually at the gun range, and I fish on my days off. I'm a tech head; I enjoy attending concerts and sports events (Go Mavs); I'm a lover of all things coffee; I'm a global whiskey collector; Godzilla is always king; I'm a global-entry traveler; and I enjoy binge-watching movies with my wife.
I was born into a military family. I was born in a US Base abroad and grew up moving from base to base, from Panama to Germany. In 1994, my family settled in Springtown, Texas, where my dad's side of the family has lived for five generations. Growing up on our family ranch, I spent much of my time outside and in the water. It taught me hard work and responsibility.
I started my design career at 15, working at a small graphic shop, making decals and signs for the city. Right after high school, I got a job in Los Angeles at a marketing agency, where I was paid to learn and work with brands like Disney, Nokia, Coca-Cola, DreamWorks, Cold Stone Creamery, and, most recently, the Dallas Mavericks.
I studied graphic and web design at the Art Institute of Dallas and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I continued my education by taking courses in computer science and data analytics, and I took business classes at Texas Wesleyan. Most recently, I earned an AI engineer certification.
After spending over 20 years in corporate, I resigned in 2015. These days, I oversee the daily operations, client relations, and creative direction of Black Anchor Design. I make a living doing what I love: teaching business owners what I know and helping them turn their dreams into reality.
